We are delighted to host Harry Briggs, CEO of Terra Instinct, the climate risk reporting and advisory company, for a webinar on the 25th March at 3pm GMT / 10am ET.
This session will explore “Climate Value at Risk” and how it is calculated in line with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) formula (Climate Risk = Hazard x Exposure x Vulnerability). The calculation methodology of each component will be explained, and the core climate change dataset will also be covered (the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP)). The application of results will then be explored, including how this feeds into transition planning and climate adaption and mitigation plans. Harry will also explain how this links back to reporting and regulation before these topics are explored further in an audience Q&A.
Harry is a Director leading Terra Instinct’s sustainability services. Harry holds the CFA certificate in ESG Investing and a practicing certificate from the ACCA.
Harry’s previous experience includes working with Accounting for Sustainability on a sustainability reporting project with their network of multinational companies, producing four briefing papers on materiality, data, governance and reporting frameworks. Harry also worked as a Sustainability Director at KPMG with a focus on the asset management sector.
Harry currently works with a broad range of private capital clients (private equity, private debt, venture capital and infrastructure), providing advisory and reporting services. Harry is also an advisor to the Future Homes Hub and sits on the financial services feedback group on the development of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards.
